Hipposideridae

The Hipposideridae family, commonly referred to as Old World leaf-nosed bats, represents a distinct group of bats. Although historically categorized as a subfamily (Hipposiderinae) within the Rhinolophidae family, current classification recognizes it as its own family. However, it retains a close evolutionary relationship with the Rhinolophidae family within the Yinpterochiroptera suborder.
