Wader

Waders, also known as shorebirds, are birds that belong to the order Charadriiformes. They are commonly found wading along shorelines and mudflats, where they forage for food by crawling or burrowing in the mud and sand. Their diet typically consists of small arthropods, such as aquatic insects and crustaceans. In Europe, these birds are referred to as “waders,” while in North America, they are called “shorebirds.” However, in North America, the term “wader” may also be used to describe long-legged wading birds like storks and herons.
