Thicket

A thicket is a dense group of trees or tall shrubs. It often consists of one or a few types of plants, leaving out others. These plants may produce many seeds that can grow well in the shade of the parent plants.

Sometimes, thickets grow in areas where humans have disturbed the surroundings. The way people interact with thickets can change depending on their culture and location.

If a thicket is made up of briar plants, which are thorny plants, it can be called a briar patch.
