Sprattus

Sprattus is a genus of small, oily fish belonging to the family Clupeidae, commonly referred to as sprats. There are five recognized species within this genus:

1. New Zealand blueback sprat
2. Fueguian sprat
3. New Zealand sprat
4. Australian sprat
5. European sprat
