Semi-Aquatic

In biology, “semi-aquatic” describes organisms that inhabit both aquatic and terrestrial environments. For animals, it refers to those that spend part of their time in water, including land animals with aquatic life stages like eggs or larvae. For plants, it applies to land plants with roots that can tolerate prolonged water submersion, as well as emergent and partially submerged aquatic plants.
