Guillemot

Guillemot is the common name for several species of seabirds in the Alcidae family, which is part of the order Charadriiformes. In Europe, this term encompasses two genera: Uria and Cepphus. In North America, the Uria species are referred to as murres, while only the Cepphus species are called “guillemots.”
