Goat

The goat, or domestic goat (Capra hircus), is livestock from the goat-antelope family. It was domesticated from the wild goat (C. aegagrus) in Southwest Asia and Eastern Europe around 10,000 years ago.

Goats are raised for milk, meat, wool, and skins worldwide. Their milk is often made into cheese.

Goats appear in many myths and religions, including Greek, Norse, and Hindu stories. In Christianity and Satanism, the devil is sometimes shown as a goat.
