The all-black Carrion Crow is one of our most intelligent and adaptable birds. While generally solitary and often wary of humans, they can sometimes form flocks. The Hooded Crow is now recognized as a separate species. Carrion Crows will visit gardens for food and, once they feel safe, will return frequently for snacks.
