The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is a public service broadcaster in London, founded in 1922 as the British Broadcasting Company and renamed in 1927. It is the oldest and largest broadcaster, employing over 21,000 staff, including around 17,200 in public-sector broadcasting.
